Visiting medical Italian team specializes in correcting scoliosis ends visit with 65 medical examinations and 10 major operations

The visiting medical Italian team specialising in correcting scoliosis ended its visit to Libya, the Emergency Medicine and Support Centre (EMSC) announced last Friday.

The visiting Italian medical team, the EMSC reported, with the assistance and support of the local medical team, conducted medical examinations and major and minor surgical operations on cases of the wounded and citizens at Tripoli’s Ghout Al-Shaal Specialized Clinic.

The process started on Saturday 25 November in the specialty of correcting scoliosis supervised by the following consultants from Italy:

The number of medical examinations were 65 cases with 10 major operations. Another 25 cases will be operated on in the Italian team’s next visit.

The EMSC said the visit by the Italian team comes within the Tripoli based Libyan government’s plan of the localisation of treatment at home.
