The Emergency Medicine and Support Centre (EMSC) announced Tuesday that the visiting Egyptian medical team had concluded its tour.
The Egyptian team had conducted 137 medical examinations and 72 major operations.
The Egyptian team had started its medical tour on 25 November in cooperation with the EMSC in conducting medical examinations and surgical operations on cases of wounded and citizens at the Ghout Al-Shaal Specialized Clinic, Tripoli.
The examinations were in several surgical specialties supervised by consultants from Egypt in:
Specialization in orthopaedic surgery – children – 16
Specialization in General Surgery – Paediatrics – 27 operations
Specialization in Urology – Paediatrics – 29
The tour is part of the Tripoli government’s plan to localise health treatment in Libya.
