For the second time this year, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) have partnered with the governments of Tunisia and Libya to train 44 youth and women entrepreneurs and government officials using the innovative Japanese management technique ‘Kaizen’, which means ‘change for the better’.

Libya is represented by its Tripoli based Ministry of Industry and Minerals. The first Kaizen training took place between February and March this year also in Tunis.

This latest training, launched on 13 November, will take place over the next two weeks in Tunis and aims to help participants improve their business skills and productivity, thereby driving economic development in their communities and strengthening their commitment to promoting sustainable resilience in Libya.
