Dahra oilfield pipeline catches fire

Waha Oil Company announced Wednesday the completion of the necessary maintenance work for 51 oil wells in its various fields. These included 31 wells that were closed for long periods due to technical and reservoir problems. It also restored 20 other wells on production lines to contribute to increasing the company’s production capacity.

Al-Waha Company stated that the production achieved from the recovery of closed wells is 5,400 barrels per day, while the added production from maintaining and improving the production of the other wells amounted to about 9,250 barrels per day.

It stressed, however, that several wells that have been maintained and returned to production are still under testing, and the quantities of their achieved production will be announced as soon as the testing operations currently underway are confirmed.

It will be recalled that the maintenance and restoration of wells comes within the framework of Waha’s and Libya’s overall goal to raise oil production.
