Libya’s Health Ministry announced Sunday that its organ transplantation services have resumed.
The head of the National Authority for Transplantation of Organs, Tissues and Cells, Professor Ehtewish Faraj Ehtewish, announces that 12 kidney transplants have been carried out inside Libya, from the beginning of the year until mid-February.
The Health Ministry says this success story has in itself resulted in restoring trust between the citizen and public hospitals – rather than having their transplants abroad.
