EUBAM reported Monday that it had organised a basic level training course on document security for 12 senior Libyan officers from Ras Ajdir and Wazen land border crossing points, and Mitiga air border crossing point.

The training is to further enhance the officers’ skills in detecting forged or counterfeit documents. Two Libyan trainers who attended a trainer course in March 2022 contributed to facilitating the training.

The training was organised in cooperation with the Royal Dutch Marechaussee (a Dutch police organisation with military status) and the Dutch Embassy to Libya.
