The Tripoli Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture signed an MoU with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Heraklion on the Greek island of Crete, last Sunday.
Tripoli Chamber said this came in the context of promoting trade cooperation and exchanging experiences in several sectors of common interest.
The two chambers discussed the possibility of organizing joint economic activities aimed at exchanging information and data on the local market in both countries and raising the level of intra-regional trade.
Tripoli Chamber reported that it had called on the Greek side to visit the capital, Tripoli, and hold bilateral meetings with business owners and local companies from the Chamber’s affiliates, visit economic and commercial institutions, and learn about the promising investment opportunities in Libya.
The two sides stressed the importance of enhancing communication and working on preparing a joint work program aimed at supporting the private sector in both countries, providing facilities for business owners and investors, and facilitating trade movement in coordination with the competent authorities.
