Sirte Oil reports ‘‘impressive’’ results of 3D seismic survey in Ghadames and Sirte basins

The Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company reported Saturday that it had achieved ‘‘impressive results’’ in its three-dimensional seismic surveys in the Ghadames and Sirte basins. This, it added was despite ‘‘the security and logistical conditions’’ of these two basins located deep in the desert.

Sirte Oil reported the completion of its 3D seismic survey in a total area of ​​3,560 km2 in each of:

  • Concessions MN 216A and MN216B in the Ghadames Basin, with an estimated area of ​​2873 km2
  • Concessions 16 and 17 in the Sirte Basin with an area of ​​687 km2.

It is worth noting that the results achieved through these surveys reflected the quality of the evaluation and monitoring work that is carried out on a daily basis on seismic data, the accuracy in preparing the field of work for

Sirte Oil stressed that the implementation of these projects was conducted by local engineers and technicians.
