Dahra oilfield pipeline catches fire

Waha Oil Company announced yesterday that it had started test operations at its Dahra oilfield after a seven-year hiatus.

Waha said its main plant, PL5-1, had been restarted and that its PL7-2 plant will be reactivated next week. It anticipated that production will reach between 8 to 10,000 barrels per day before the end of the year.

It will be recalled that the Dahra oilfield had been almost totally destroyed by a terrorist attack in 2015.
