After more than seven years, Libyan Airlines’ Airbus A320 arrived at Tripoli’s Mitiga airport yesterday from Tunis airport. The aircraft had been receiving maintenance work in Tunisia.
The plane had been damaged at Tripoli International Airport during the 2014 militia clashes there that eventually led to the destruction and closure of the airport.
The aircraft will begin transporting passengers to support the company’s small fleet as soon as administrative procedures are complete the Libyan Transport Ministry said.
