At its Tobruk session yesterday, the House of Representatives (HoR) demanded that the Attorney General investigate the prevention of the plane carrying Members from landing at Mitiga airport on Monday.
However, the Ministry of Transport in Tripoli has denied this allegation aired by HoR Speaker Ageela Saleh. In its statement, the Transport Ministry said the reason for the delay of the plane intended to transport members of Parliament from the capital, Tripoli, to the city of Tobruk, were “technical and logistical matters.”
The HoR, however, saw the move as a political one by the Aldabaiba government in its effort to disrupt the HoR session in Tobruk by reducing turnout and preventing a quorum – a session that is intended to replace his government.
