The National Oil Corporation (NOC) and Korea’s DAEWOO E&C (Engineering and Construction) discussed the implementation of several projects in the Libyan oil and gas sector.
The discussions came during a meeting today at the NOC’s Tripoli headquarters between NOC Chairman, Mustafa Sanalla with Yong Choi, Senior Vice President of the Middle East region Daewoo E&C and Kwan Soon-sang, the company’s representative in Libya.
The meeting dealt with the company’s desire to resume its activity in Libya and contribute to the implementation of projects related to the oil sector, which the corporation’s companies intend to implement to increase production capacity and improve infrastructure.
Sanalla welcomed this and stressed the sector’s need for the company’s expertise in the field of developing new onshore and offshore fields, establishing refineries and projects related to the company’s activity.
He also stressed that the company has a previous presence in Libya and is well known to the sector through its contribution to the implementation of many projects in Libya.
At the end of the meeting, Young Choi thanked the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the opportunity, and that the company will make every effort to resume its activities in Libya and contribute through its communication with the operating companies in the upcoming projects.
