London, 1 October 2021:

Libya’s Misrata Free Zone (MFZ) signed a long-term strategic cooperation memorandum of understanding on Wednesday with China’s Huawei Technology.

The agreement entails the provision of telecommunications services and the implementation of infrastructure for information technology to be part of the MFZ’s basic infrastructure.

The terms of the memorandum of understanding also include Huawei’s development of the requirements for the services provided to investors, improve the quality and efficiency of electronic services, monitoring and communication systems, by providing advanced solutions in the fields of communications and information technology, and designing the MFZ Information Centre.
