The Misrata Security Directorate reported that one death and two injuries were suffered by its Special Task Force during an operation dawn today. It said they were attempting to enforce an arrest warrant for wanted persons by the Public Prosecution in the 11th July area of Misrata.
The Misrata Security Directorate reported that during the arrest the ‘‘outlaws fired live bullets and grenades’’ at its patrols. ‘‘The source of the fire was responded to by the force, and the force clashed with them’’. It was during these clashes that the force suffered its one fatality and two injuries.
The force reported that it was able to arrest a group of the wanted when it was found that they belong to extremist terrorist groups.
