HNEC voter registration update: 379,091 new voters enrolled on electoral register

London, 3 August 2021:

Libya’s High National Elections Commission (HNEC) reported today that 379,091 new voters had enrolled themselves on the electoral register up to yesterday.

This brings the total number of Libyans registered on the electoral roll to 2,719,167 since it was opened on 4 July and since it was extended on 31 July until 18 August 2021.

The electoral roll has been reopened in preparation for the 24 December 2021 elections and had been closed since the run up to the 2014 elections.
