(HNEC).

London, 9 August 2021:

Libya’s High National Elections Commission (HNEC) reported today that 424,693 new voters had enrolled themselves on the electoral register up to yesterday.

This brings the total number of Libyans registered on the electoral roll to 2,764,769 since it was opened on 4 July and since it was extended on 31 July until 18 August 2021.

The number of those registering has dropped off from July when about 30,000 were registering every day. Over the last four days only 20,000 have registered.
