The head of the Libyan Presidency Council, Mohamed Menfi, and his two Deputies, Abdalla Al-Lafi and Musa Al-Koni, met yesterday in Tripoli, the Spanish ambassador to Libya, Javier Garcia-Larrache.
At the beginning of the meeting, Menfi welcomed the Spanish ambassador to Libya and his accompanying delegation, appreciating the role of relations between Libya and the Kingdom of Spain, Menfi’s Media Department reported.
For his part, the Spanish ambassador congratulated Menfi and his two Deputies for their selection to the new executive authority that will lead the country until the elections on 24 December of this year. The Spanish ambassador stressed that relations between Libya and Spain are strong and that Spain will provide all the support to the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) and support national reconciliation in Libya.
Garcia-Larrache stressed that the Spanish embassy in Libya is working temporarily and that the work on the embassy’s return to Tripoli will be gradual, and that it will also facilitate the visa processes for Libyans in the near future.
