London, 23 March 2021:

The Libyan-Egyptian Joint Economic Chamber met on Saturday Mohamed Hwej, Libya’s Minister of Economy to coordinate trade movement between Libya and Egypt. The Joint Chamber reported that a number of initiatives were agreed at the meeting.

The meeting dealt with setting a date for holding an economic conference in Libya under the auspices of the Libyan Ministry of Economy after the end of the fasting month of Ramadan in mid May.

The Ministry of Economy granted approval to the Joint Chamber to open a Coordination Office in the Libyan city of Imsaed on the Egyptian border. The Office will contribute to facilitating and easing commercial traffic in the common borders between the two countries.
