London, 30 November 2020:
The Tobruk gas powered station project launch meeting was held on Saturday in Tobruk between the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) and the Greek energy construction company Metka.
Tobruk Municipality was also at the meeting where the latest developments of the power station project and solutions to all the obstacles and difficulties impeding the project’s workflow and for the start of the project, were discussed.
It will be recalled that this project had been first announced back in 2017. Tobruk’s current power station is a 130MW oil-fired plant near the port.
