London, 22 November 2019:
Libya’s Libyan Business Council (LBC), Libya’s only legally recognized business council, signed a cooperation protocol with the Joint Cooperation Association for Arab and Turkish States. The agreement was signed in Istanbul on Wednesday by LBC head Abdalla Fellah during its participation in the Turkish-Arab Economic Cooperation Forum 19-22 November.
Speaking by phone from Istanbul, Fellah told Libya Herald that the agreement allows for a unified effort in promoting joint investment, framing the participation of delegates in seminars and workshops in various events and exhibitions in the two countries and working to provide facilities for business owners in both countries to attend any events or exhibitions. It also allows for the exchange of information on economic activities and conferences that can be involved and consulted in areas of common interest.
He also added that this agreement will strengthen the distinctive relationship between the LBC and the Association of Turkish and Arab countries and provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to explore the horizon of partnerships and opportunities that contribute to the development of trade movement between the two countries.
