The Presidency Council / Government of National Accord Minister of Interior-designate Abdelhameed Ashour said that security in Tripoli was ‘’reassuring’’ enough for foreign contractors to return to resume their stalled projects.
Ashour, made the statement during his visit to the construction site of Tripoli International Airport yesterday.
During his visit, Ashour viewed a slideshow presentation by Libya’s Airports Authority during which it was revealed that the new airport project is to be completed within the next 3 months. It will operate alongside the existing Mitiga airport.
In his speech at the event, Ashour called on all contracted foreign companies to return and resume their projects in all sectors, adding that the security situation in the capital Tripoli was reassuring.
ELENGAS AL TAM Company for Contracting and Real Estate Investment is the company executing the airport project.
