Abdel-Razzaq Mushaireb was arrested on 11 September and accused of having links to terrorist groups. Rada said yesterday they has investigated whether he had been recruiting and grooming youngsters to join militant groups across Libya, in particular in Sirte and Benghazi.
Rada gave no reason for the release of Mushaireb.
At the time it was believed he may have been linked to the Manchester suicide bomber Salman Abedi and his brother Hashem. The latter remains in the custody of Rada.
Mushaireb is closely linked to controversial to grand mufti Sadiq Al-Ghariani.
