Tunis, 22 August 2017:
Three new members of the parallel Benghazi-based National Oil Corporation (NOC) have been appointed by the interim administration of Abdullah Al-Thinni. They are Mohamed Abdulrahman Salem, Mohamed Muftah Attieh and Mabruk Said Sultan
A week ago, Thinni sacked Naji Maghrabi as chairman on the eastern NOC along with all the directors. He replaced Maghrabi with Faraj Mohamed Saied Al-Hass, a former head of the Arabian Gulf Oil Company, which is also based in Benghazi.
Salem is to have responsibility for exploration, Attieh for administrative and financial affairs and Sultan for marketing.
Attieh is a former director of NOC.
