Tunis, 11 July 2017:
A group of Libya political figures has flown to Brussels to meeting with leading European Union officials to discuss the situation in Libya and the possibilities of dialogue. The group includes House of Representatives members Esa Al-Araibi (Benghazi) and Musbah Awhida Domma (Sebha) as well as Juma Kosso, a member the UNSMIL Dialogue team.
The visit, believed to be organised by an Italian organisation, includes meetings with members of the European parliament. According to Kosso, a meeting with the Belgian foreign minister is also planned.
Domma is a member of the Awlad Sulaiman tribe while Kosso is Tebu. Conflict in the south, including continuing tensions between the Awald Sulaiman and the Tebu are believed to be on the agenda.
