Tripoli, 20 July 2017:
The head of the faculty of medical technology in Emsalata, east of Tripoli, was attacked yesterday along with the head of examinations and the deputy president of the students’ union at the faculty.
The reasons for the attack which took place at the campus headquarters have not been disclosed. The faculty is part of Al-Mergib University based in Khoms.
The attack was today condemned by university’s students’ union which called on the various authorities in the town to prevent an such reoccurrence.
Emsalata has developed a reputation of being a major centre for Jihadists.
