Tunis, 28 June 2017:
Libya’s oil production edged closer to the National Oil Corporation’s (NOC) August target of one million barrels a day when output hit 950,000 bpd at the end of last week
AGOCO spokesman has told Reuters that over the week, production had risen from 885,000 bpd. However because of maintenance and pipeline leaks, the figure has this week dropped back to an average of 935,000 bpd.
A source told the new agency that NOC was repairing a number of leaking pipelines taking crude to both the Sidra and Zuetina export terminals..
The small Laheeb field, which last November suffered a power-linked explosion, has been closed for further maintenance cutting NOC’s total output by between 8,000 and 10,000 bpd.
