Tripoli, 26 November 2016:
A second group of ambassadors, all from Europe this time, presented their credentials today to Faiez Serrraj, the head of the Presidency Council, itself considered the Libya’s collective head of state by the international community.
The ambassadors were from the EU, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK, respectively Bettina Muscheidt, Brigitte Curmi, Christian Buck, Eric Strating and Peter Millett.
Doing it together was “a sign of our collective support for the future of Libya,” said Millett.
The presentation, in Tripoli Castle, with bagpipes and a band, had been professionally done” and impressive, he added.
Two weeks ago, the ambassadors of Austria, Canada, Turkey and Yemen presented their credentials to Serraj, also in a ceremony at Tripoli castle.
