London, 17 April 2016:
Tomorrow may finally be decision-time for the House of Representatives. A simple three-item agenda has been . . .[restrict]issued.
Members will be asked to vote on the Government of National Accord (GNA), on the amendment to the 2011 Transitional Constitutional Declaration and a statement condemning the EU sanctions against HoR president Ageela Saleh.
Under the Libyan Political Agreement, the GNA and Presidency Council must be accepted by parliament.
This will be the sixth time that the HoR has attempted to gather a quorum in Tobruk in order to vote on the GNA. HoR member Abdelminam Alkour earlier today revealed that 104 HoR members had already arrived in Tobruk.
UNSMIL chief Martin Kobler said in Tripoli today that he will be in Tobruk tomorrow to ‘’encourage’’ members to vote through the GNA. [/restrict]
