Libya Dawn aircraft are reported to have struck IS targets in Sirte today, inflicting heavy . . .[restrict]casualties.
Jamal Zubia, head of the Ghwell administration’s foreign media department said IS headquarters had been bombed by aircraft from Misrata. “Many leaders are believed to have been hit, 18 are claimed dead and there have been many casualties.”
He added that IS had been evacuating medical equipment from the town’s Ibn Sina hospital to set up a field hospital, in anticipation of further attacks.
However at least two different sources inside the town have said that the airstrike did not hit any IS targets but struck civilian areas, where one local was killed.
Meanwhile it is also being reported from Sirte that IS have demanded that everyone in the town brings their children to their local mosque for lessons on sharia and missionary work. [/restrict]
