Tripoli, 6 February 2016:
The head of Presidency Council, prime minister-designate Faiez Serraj, has called for a meeting with members . . .[restrict]of the Libyan Dialogue tomorrow in Skhirat, Morocco, to discuss the latest proposals for a national unity government,.
In a letter to the Dialogue, Serraj said he wanted the Dialogue to look at the latest, slimmed-down, proposed cabinet before sending it to the House of Representatives (HoR) for approval.
Under Article no. 3 of the Libyan Political Agreement (LPA), the prime minister-designate and his deputies are supposed to consult with the Libya Dialogue over the proposed government before names are sent to the HoR.
This did not happen last time round.
Following the meeting tomorrow, and provided the Dialogues team concurs with its choices, the Council is expected to announce its selection. [/restrict]
