Tunis, 1 December 2015:
Faiez Serraj, appointed by the UN-brokered Libya Dialogue as the head of the proposed Government . . .[restrict]of National Accord (GNA), is to hold a cabinet meeting in Tunis tomorrow, Wednesday, with the other five named members of the presidency council. The main subject under discussion is said to be the GNA’s programme for the next year.
Names for government ministries are also expected to be looked at, but according to an official, the programme has to be worked out first and only then those who agree with it will be chosen.
The council will also meet with UN Special Envoy Martin Kobler who is due to arrive back in the Tunisian capital this evening from Algiers where he has been attending today’s meeting of foreign minsters from Libya’s neighbouring states.
It is the fourth such cabinet meeting since former UN envoy Bernardino Leon announced the names. Tunis has become the venue for logistical reasons. [/restrict]
