The Beida government’s Information and Culture Authority is to build a new media centre in Benghazi. . . .[restrict]The project, which will include TV and radio studios as well as offices for other media operations, public and private, has been launched at ceremony in the city’s Salmani district, the head of the authority, Omar Gawairi.
Designs for what the authority says will be one of the largest media and culture centres in north Africa are still to drawn up and the authority plans to invite architects to submit designs.
The site covers 4,000 square metres. The aim is that half will be used for a high-rise building providing offices and studios. The other half will be parking and open space. [/restrict]
