Benghazi, 15 September 2015:
Prime Minister Abdullah Thinni was prevented by security officials at Labraq airport this morning from . . .[restrict]catching a flight to Malta, the Libya Herald has been told.
Sources at the airport say the officials were carrying out orders from top military figures, seen as a reference to General Khalifa Hafter.
Although there has been no statement about the incident, an official in Malta has confirmed that Thinni was due to fly there today.
This is not the first time that he has been stopped from catching a plane. In July last year, he was stopped by the one of the militias controlling Mitiga Airport from flying to Tobruk. [/restrict]
