Tripoli, 7 June 2015:
Zintan says that it has not received any deliveries of petrol or diesel, despite an . . .[restrict]announcement from the National Oil Corporation that its distribution subsidiary, Brega Oil and Marketing, was sending fuel to the Jebel Nafusa.
In an announcement on Thursday, the NOC said that the Brega was using 31 fuel trucks to transport a million litres of petrol and 320,000 litres of diesel to all Libya towns and cities, “including the towns of the Jebel Nafusa, without exception”. It added that supplies would begin to arrive everywhere in the Jebel by Saturday.
Supplies of cooking gas, currently a much prized rarity in the Jebel were also being sent to the Nafusa mountains.
Twenty thousand litres of aviation was meanwhile being delivered to Ghadames airport, it added
However, according to the mayor of Zintan, nothing has arrived there. He accused the NOC of sending fuel only to towns in the Jebel which support Libya Dawn. [/restrict]
