Tunis, 3 June, 2015:
Tunisia says that it knows nothing about reports that it is about to open an office . . .[restrict]at Tripoli’s Mitiga airport.
I have no information about this,” Tunisair official Imen Amara told the Libya Herald.
This comes after news on Attounissia news website today quoting diplomatic sources claiming that the Tunisian carrier is to open an office in Tripoli Mitiiga airport within the next few weeks. It said that as a first step, the Tunisair office in Tripoli would sell tickets for flights from Tunisian airports to other destinations, in particular those in Europe and Arab states, on Tunisair flights as well as those of other airlines.
Last month, a Tunisian technical committee conducted a field survey of a number of airports in the west and east of Libya including Mitiga to investigate their safety and international security standards before it produced reports to the government. [/restrict]
