Beida, 8 May 2015:
The closure of the gas pipeline to Zueitina from the gas gathering facilities at Field 103, . . .[restrict]west of Jalu, has now stopped gas production at the Nafoora field.
Operated by the AGOCO, the field, north of Jalu, produces both oil and gas, with the former being pumped to Tobruk’s Harega terminal and the latter to Zueitina, via Field 103. However, because of the closure of the pipeline to Zueitina from 103, the gas storage facilities at the latter are now full.
“Supplies to Zueitina have stopped, an AGOCO spokesperson told the Libya Herald. “The field can’t pump to the port because there is not enough storage [at 103].”
Oil production at Nafoora, one of Libya’s oldest fields, has also stopped. [/restrict]
