Tunis, 14 May 2015:
Bernardino Leon, the UN Special envoy who is chairing the Dialogue process, has held talks . . .[restrict]in Madrid with Idris Abdullah Abed Al-Senussi about the situation in Libya and the current position with the Dialogue.
According to a source, Tuesday’s talks also touched on the possibility of naming an interim head of state if one of the sides in the Dialogue pulls out and it then collapses.
A prominent member of the former Libyan royal family, Idris Senussi is the son of Prince Abdullah bin Abed Al-Senussi, the late King Idris’ cousin who was widely known as “the Black Prince”.
In February, he warned that any foreign military intervention or action in Libya would backfire. Some foreign countries, he said at the time, did not understand the country and had to “stop their meddling”. [/restrict]
