New offshore gas discovery announced by NOC

Tunis, 03 March 2015:

Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) and the operator ENI North Africa Libya, the foreign partner in an Exploration Production and Sharing Agreement (EPSA) in contract area D (NC41) signed in June 2008, have announced a new gas discovery in the contract area located in the Sabrata Basin, located offshore..

The discovery exploration (new wildcat field ) well B1-16/04 is located approximately 82 km from the Libyan coast and 15 km Southwest of Bahr Essalam Field and was drilled at an average water depth of about 150 m.

The initial production test results presented by the NOC are summarized in the following Table:
