The Production Department of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) organized a high-level coordination meeting today attended by a group of NOC department managers and technical staff, alongside managers and specialists representing Mellitah Oil & Gas and Eni North Africa.

The meeting reviewed the arrangements necessary to receive, process, and utilize approximately 100 million cubic feet of gas produced from the Bouri field at the Mellitah Industrial Complex, as well as key organizational aspects related to gas transport and processing operations.

Discussions also focused on coordination and cooperation mechanisms among the various stakeholders to ensure work is executed according to approved schedules and to enhance facility readiness to handle the produced volumes.

Eliminating flaring by 2030
The NOC said this meeting reflects its commitment to advancing gas utilization projects and unifying efforts among stakeholders. These actions, it added, support its goals of utilizing produced gas and eliminating flaring by 2030, in alignment with national objectives to promote environmental sustainability and reduce carbon emissions.
