Tripoli, 26 March 2015:
Libya Institute for Advanced Studies (LIAS) has hired international consulting firm Sanitas International to provide . . .[restrict]what it calls “strategic outreach” to US and European stakeholders and partners.
LIAS said that it worked with reliable and similarly-minded regional and international allies to support democracy in Libya, building local capacity in conflict resolution, constitution-making, justice and security issues.
On a recent trip to the US, LIAS met lawmakers, think tanks and the media to urge their support for a peaceful transition to democracy and to discuss the current status of this transition. Sanitas International is to develop the partnership between LIAS and these key public and private sector stakeholders.
“LIAS is committed to improving the lives and prosperity of the Libyan people through institution-building and ensuring a peaceful resolution to the political and security crisis in our country,“ said Dr Aref Ali Nayed, LIAS chairman and Libya’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.
Nayed added, “Sanitas International’s vast experience both in Washington and throughout the Middle East and North Africa adds value to our mission and ultimately helps us serve the Libyan people during their time of tremendous need.” [/restrict]
