The Canadian Embassy to Libya, in partnership with International Medical Corps (IMC), has provided boxes . . .[restrict]of humanitarian aid to families displaced by the conflict in Benghazi.
The operation was funded by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) and the boxes were distributed in February.
Through the project, 180 displaced Tawerghan families received kits containing basic hygiene supplies, mattresses and kitchen tools.
Most of the families had been housed in camps in Benghazi, but were force to move to some nine schools in Benghazi as well as to Gemenis when the conflict in the city intensified in October.
Volunteers from Libyan Humanitarian Relief Agency (LibAid) helped with the distribution of the supplies. [/restrict]
