Tunis, 21 February 2015:
It appears that the people of Ben Guerdane, who have been blocking the road to . . .[restrict]the Libyan border post at Ras Jedir have agreed to suspend their action.
The protest which originally began over cross-border taxes, was widened last week to include demands that the Tunisian government boost the local development budget and get on with promised projects.
It was not possible this evening to confirm the suspension nor why it has been agreed.
