Tripoli, 2 January 2015:
Chairman of the Management Committee for the central area of the Man-Made River was released . . .[restrict]unharmed yesterday after 50 days in captivity.
Ahmed Ali Issa Al-Warfali had been kidnapped in November while driving one of his sons to school in Sirte.
It was not known who was responsible but there were fears for his life. Sirte is seen as being increasingly controlled by militants.
He was released yesterday and returned to his family. [/restrict]
