By Libya Herald staff.

Cairo, January 29, 2015:

Flights from Libya will still  not be authorised  to land in Cairo according to a . . .[restrict]spokesman for the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority.

The ban, which was put in place in August, has been extended by the Egyptians.  However, flights will continue to be allowed between Libya and Alexandria.

An official with Libyan Airlines confirmed to the Libya Herald that the ban is still in place.  Libyan Airlines is, he said, offering several flights a week between Alexandria and three Libyan airports–Mitiga, Labraq and Tobruk. [/restrict]
