Tobruk, 3 November 2014:
A 15-member delegation from the House of Representatives is to fly to Amman next week . . .[restrict]at the invitation of the Jordanian House of Representatives, the lower house of Jordan’s parliament. The aim is to show the Libyan parliamentarians how the multi-party Jordanian legislature, first founded in 1952, operates, the hope being that the Libyans will benefit from the experience.
Yesterday, another 15 HoR members returned from a similar week-long visit to Paris at the invitation for the National Assembly, the lower house of the French parliament. There too, the Libyan representatives sat in on an Assembly session and had discussions with French deputies on the workings of the French parliamentary system.
Although in the French capital at the same time as the UN Special envoy Bernardino Leon and other special envoys to Libya, there was no meeting between them all. [/restrict]
