Provisional results for the municipal elections in the southwestern oasis town of Ghat have been . . .[restrict]released by the Central Committee for Municipal Council Elections (CCMCE). The election took place on 22 September.
Those elected are:
General List:
- Mohamed Saleh Jibril Aitgadi (722 votes)
- Taher Mohmed Ali Agmed (569)
- Ahmed Mohamed Ali Sakeh Kilikili (283)
- Jamal Ahmed Suleiman Musa (254)
- Ramadan Ali Abdulnabi Abubakr (238)
The women councilor is Fadia Mansour Al-Shefayi (1,292)
No revolution-wounded councillor was announced.
Of the 7,402 voters who had registered, 3,990 or 53.9 percent voted. [/restrict]
