Benghazi, 7 October 2014:
There were three more political killings in Benghazi yesterday evening.
A Peteroleum Facilties Guard, Mahmoud Muftah Abdel . . .[restrict]Salam Al-Madawi, was shot dead while driving in the Kish district. The 22-year-old, who lived in Topolino district and on secondment to Saiqa’s Special Forces 21 brigade, was shot in the head and died instantly. His body was taken to the Benghazi Medical Centre. Earlier, another member of 21 Brigade, Saad Omar Al-Jazzi, had been murdered together with his young son,
Also in the early evening a policemen, Issa Elabbar, was shot dead while going to a mosque in Majouri district.
Slightly later, Sheikh Suleiman Jibril Al-Taira was shot dead while leaving a mosque in Hawari district. A Salafist, he supervised burials at Hawari cemetery.
Militants linked to Ansar Al-Sharia are suspected to have been behind all three killings.
