Tripoli, 28 September 2014:
In a phone call to Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Thinni on Saturday, Tunisian Prime Minister Mehdi Jomaa has renewed Tunisia’s support for both the Libyan people and the government appointed by the House of Repesentatives.
Expressing his congratulations to Thinni for having won the support of the HoR, he wished him all the best as he worked toward establishing security and stability in Libya.
As the two prime ministers discussed various issues of mutual interest, Jomaa stressed that national dialogue was be the only way out of the current crisis. Tunisia had found itself in a similar situation just recently, he told Thinni, and it was national dialogue that had brought about a resolution of the country’s problems.
Jomaa reaffirmed the support of Tunisia for the Libyan people and Libya’s legitimate state institutions, including the HoR and the Constitutional Drafting Assembly. Tunisia was keen to promote bilateral relations between the two nations, the Tunisian premier said. [/restrict]
