While Sudanese have been leaving Libya via Kufra, there are widespread reports today in the . . .[restrict]south-eastern town that hundreds of Sudanese mercenaries arrived by plane at the airport en route to Benghazi. They are said to be going to fight alongside Ansar Al-Sharia against Operation Dawn forces.
It may be that this is just another rumour, however.
No-one in Kufra to whom the Libya Herald spoke said they had actually seen the alleged mercenaries. Nonetheless, in the present situation, nothing can be discounted. [/restrict]
