Tripoli, 24 August 2014:

All the various committees of the Constitutional Drafting Authority are working fully, stressed Sidig Dressy, the . . .[restrict]official spokesperson for the Authority yesterday.

Speaking in an interview on Al-Assema TV, Dressy said that there is no truth to the accusation that the Authority has been on indefinite holiday.

Dressy said that members of the Authority had indeed taken their normal holidays, but that they were now back fully to work.

The Authority spokesperson stressed that the current fighting in Libya has meant that members are unable to communicate and be in contact with all the various strata of Libyan society.

Dressy explained that members have had to travel through various areas in Libya as well as having to travel through Tunisia in order to reach some of their intended destinations in Libya.

He also revealed that the month of December is the target for the presentation of an initial draft of the constitution. [/restrict]
